April 30, 2025 – TMSS Medical College & Rafatullah Community Hospital has formally launched the “Integration of Oral Health into the Maternal and Child Health Continuum of Care” project, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Grameen Communications (GC). The agreement was signed on April 29, 2025 by Dr. Md. Matiur Rahman, Deputy Executive Director-2 of TMSS, and Mr. Feroz Mahmud, Managing Director of Grameen Communications. 

This initiative is part of a multinational research collaboration led by St. Luke’s International University of Japan, with technical and academic support from Okayama University, the University of Tokyo, and Kyushu University. 

TMSS will handle patient recruitment, dental checkups, professional cleaning, and oral hygiene education, while GC will manage coordination, funding, and monitoring with bi-monthly site visits. 

The project runs from April 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026, and is also being implemented at Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital in Dhaka.
