April 1, 2025 - A high-level research delegation from Japan visited Bangladesh on March 23-25, 2025. The team visited Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital, Dhaka and TMSS Medical College Hospital, Bogura. The team included professors from St. Luke’s International University, Okayama University, and Kyushu University. Grameen Communications was working as a research support partner.

The purpose of this visit was to discuss collaborative research opportunities on integrating oral health into the maternal and child health continuum of care for pregnant women. The key objective is to observe the impact of the combination of basic periodontal care and maternal and child health care can contribute to newborns in Bangladesh.
